Objectives and tasks
The association views itself as a representative and point of contact for its members, acting as an interface between the latter and the authorities, the law, economic associations and the public. Its duties include the establishment and maintenance of contacts with the regional and federal authorities, and other associations such as the German Association of Animal Nutrition, the Association of Wholesale Bakeries, the Association of the German Confectionery Industry and the Sugar Industry Association, etc.
The association views the drawing up and maintenance of guidelines relating to constructive disposal practices for products and by-products from bread and pasta products, confectionery and processed foods as a central task.
The association also aims to promote and support the exchange of specialist, economic and technical insights and experience.
